UI/UX SP 23 Storage App Work in Progress

USER PERSONAS
We are in the process of developing user personas and user stories to further figure our who our potential customers would be, and understand their characteristics and stories. We plan to fully delve into their hobbies, activities, and daily lives to fully understand where they would have a need for the service that we are offering.

Who would be in need of a localized storage app?
We started off by looking at our two primary users, the "student" and the "homeowner". These titles are not specifically limited to these two types of people but we see these as being a potentially large percentage of our users. "Student" simply means any person who moves around fairly often who is looking for storage space for typically under a rental time. We are basing our current model off of the college academic year and are looking at the summer being one of the higher times of demand for extra space.

The "Homeowner" simply means anyone who owns property, potentially commercial or residential, who is looking to make a little extra money off of their empty space.
We started by looking at different businesses, local storage and other apps that had similar use cases as ours.
We wanted to look at what other apps were doing well, and where they were lacking. Where could we make up on what they were missing? How can our interface make the difference? What are some pros and cons of going through with this app idea? Our next phase brought us into working in Figma.
WORKING IN FIGMA
CURRENT AND CONTINUING RESEARCH
Our first phase of research was looking into existing businesses and apps that had similar characteristics or features that we were looking at with our app. We then further delved into important details with each of these companies, looking for information we may find important for the development of our app. We looked at interface, security, person to person interaction, and how localized the other apps were.

The next phase of our research has been to acquire user research and get a general sense of what our potential users are already doing. How are they currently filling this need for storage? We have sent our surveys and will be conducting interviews to further develop our research.
USER STORIES AND PERSONAS
The next phase of our UI/UX journey is to delve into really understanding who are users are. We want to further explore their pain points, and see how our app can address them. We started by imagining a user story for each different type of person who would find a use for our app, some of these individual stories are based off of real individuals who have expressed their problems relative to our cause. Next we wanted to illustrate certain key users to further display their situation, emotions, and how our app can help to solve their problems.
